Film Cliche - Action
Usually Action films will appeal to a male audience although some women will enjoy a good action film especially as there is usually muscly men with their tops of throughout.
a strong accented foreign man will usually appear as the bad guy in the horror film and this will appear to a British audience. a homosexual villain is nothing out of the ordinary in a action film and will usually be surround by big men with weapons. although one by one these bodyguards will get killed of, this will grab the attention of the audience as the hero gets closer to the villain. the hero is usually built built and frightening to look at but is a romantic at heart, opposite to the villain who usually dresses effeminately and who is self centred and arrogant.
when the hero does fight these body guards he will always seem to take them on one by one rather than them all running at him at once. if the hero does get hurt there will usually be a time when he will have to perform self surgery.
big explosions are a key part of action films and usually the hero will come out without even a scratch. this would be necessary as he will have to be fit and healthy to save the girl at the end.
