The genre of the film is action/crime/drama. the unique selling point of the film is that it is a follow up of previous batman films, this means that people who have followed the other films would be interested in the film. the trailer is therefore very important so that the target audience can get excited about the film and all want to go and see it in the cinemas as soon as possible. the target audience is for teenagers and above. many people will have been fans of batman for a long time and these are the people that will most likely what to see the film. the music in the background is haunting but very faint, you can mostly hear particular lines that grab the audience and chanting which will make the audience feel tense and on the edge of their seat, this will get the audience excited about the film as they will want to know what is going on. As it is a follow up of well known batman films they will not have to give away to much in the trailer as the unanswered questions will grab the target audience and make them more desperate to see it. there are long shots and establishing shots which means the audience can see all the special effect used in the film, such as explosions and the batmobile which hovers down the street. there are mid shots and close ups of the different character so that the target audience are familiar with the characters and this build tension in the trailer. there are focus pulls so that the audience focus on different characters.the trailer is slow paced which is not usual for an action film but this builds tension and gives the audience time to appreciate the special effects. there are also fades to black which help to build tension in the trailer, and inter title appear giving the audience the information they need.
