The Dark Knight Rises

 This shows that most of the people that went to see 'The Dark Knight Rises' where between the ages of 15-24 and not far behind where people aged 25-34. this is therefore the sort of aged audience that we would aim our film towards. we were considering putting the age of our film at 12 above butthere is only a small 9% tht went in the ages 12-14 and therefore it would not be to much of a loss to put our film at 15. this could also encourage an older audience to come because they will expect it to be full on action as the age is higher. unsurprisingly most of the audience were male and this will therefore also be our target audience.

The dominating class was C1 - the lower middle class, with the other 3 classes having an even split of 21% each. taken was rated a 15 so targeted young adults, this is proven to be successful as the main audience of this film were aged 15 - 24 with 38% of the viewers. However, in close second with 37% was the age group 25 - 34 suggesting that this film targeted a younger audience. The dominating gender of this film were male with 54% which is typical of action films, however there is almost a 50/50 split between both genders which is unusual for an action film. This could be because there was a strong focus on emotion in the film and this would have interested a female audience. this is something that we could also focus on in our film but we would not want to take away the impact of an action film and lower our male audience viewing.

 

Skyfall

a higher class audience went to see this film. this could be because of the films history, it is well known and seen a a classic for many people. this could also explain why one of the hghest percentage of viewers were 45+, this is unusual for an action filkm but this audience could have been captured by the earlier james bond films when they were around the typial action film audience age of 15-24 which was also very popular sharing the top spot with 45+ with 26%. majority of the viewers were male which is expected of an action film.
