Soundtrack Research - non-copyright music

we have been looking at music that will suit our trailer. we want something that starts of slow but gradual builds up, this will help build tension for the audience. our trailer also goes from slow to fast so this will be in keeping with that as well.

some of the music that we have found is below:

we really like this soundtrack, we like how it gradually builds up which will add suspense to the trailer. its also repetitive and will therefore be recognisable which is important in getting people to know and remember our film. it slows down in the middle which will be perfect for when we start the phone call between the dad and the bad guys, it then pick up again and has strong drum beats which will fit in well with the car chase scene that follows. although this is a very long soundtrack and we may have to cut it down and edit it when we put it over our trailer but this can be easily done.

we like the way that this music builds up although we feel it has more of a frightening sound than an action sound. therefore this would be more suited to a horror film. this is reinforced by the fact that half way through it sounds like the jaws theme tune. we would not want to confuse our audience and want to make it clear that we are representing an action film and therefore will not use this for our soundtrack.

We feel that this soundtrack is more adventure rather than action. it is slow paced throughout and we want something that will build more tension and put the audience on the edge of their seat and create excitement. therefore this will not be suitable for our trailer.

this soundtrack is similar to Golden sphinx and we feel it is more of an adventure soundtrack and uplifting whereas we want to create a sense of panic for our audience. this is also to short and we will therefore not use this for our trailer.

as this music starts its grabs the audience and starts to build tension. although it doesn't speed up towards the end and we feel this is important as our trailer will be fast paced. therefore we will not use this for our trailer.

we really like the suspense that this music creates. its very long although there is a bit in the middle we feel we could cut out. it speeds up slightly towards the end and becomes more dramatic and this suits our film well. it has drum beats that put the audience on the edge of their seats and builds tension.

we are going to use 'The Polis' for our trailer as this music builds tension well and starts with a slow pace and this builds up. we are also hoping to create some of our own music and use this when there is a phone conversation taking place. like 'Taken' we could create this on the piano.
