Change Of Cast

unfortunatly we have had to change our cast as Amelia works on a sunday and me and charlotte work on saturdays so it has so far cause many issues filming. we have now changed to Spencer and Amy for the mum and dad as they both go to therfield so it is easy to contact and arrange filming with them. although we have done some filming with Amelia and Sam we will not let this go to waste and we will look through the footage and see what changes we would make.

after looking at this scene we do not feel it has a strong enough opening impact and have therefore decided to change some of the scenes for our trailer. we are therefore going to make a new storyboard so that we know exactly what shots we are going to use so that the filming of our trailer we run smoothly. If we were making a high budget film then changing our storyboard at this point in filming we would have wasted alot of time and money. however we are making a low budget film and the footage we have so far has allowed us to learn from our mistakes an we are therefore going to plan a better storyboard that we feel conforms better to the conventions of action films.

Film Diary Entry 2

Today was our first day of filming. we filmed the scenes that are inside today, we were going to do these last but due to the snow we have brought them forward to save time. we had a good day filming today although we did have some problems to start with as our actors and actresses did not know each other. once everyone got to know each other they became alot more confident and everyone got the giggles but in the end we got the shots we needed.

we were hoping to start filming today but due to the weather we cant. once the snow has gone we will try filming again. so that we save time we are now going to film any indoor scenes first. if we had a high budget film this would cause alot of problems, luckily we are low budget so can work around it.

Bad guy: we have your daughter. Tell anyone and we will kill her. If you do as we say then we will return her to you alive. You wont see your daughter again until you stand up in court and prove him not guilty. Its in your best interests to keep this between us

Titles

the black background and white writing is a convention of other trailers that we have seen. we feel the text of this is very bold and this makes it clear for the audience. however we feel the text needs to be brighter as it seems to fade into the background a little bit.

 

Other Trailers that we have looked at advertise the release date of the film in bold writing across the screen and we feel this is important as we want the audience to know exactly when the film is released. like other action films we have used a black background and white writing.

 

we have tried the text in another colour that we feel might stand out more, however we dont feel the colour works well as a convention of an action film and will therefore not use this for our trailer.

The titles do not look like they are for an action film and we will therefore not use it for our trailer.

we like the first two titles as the black background and white writing really stand out, these are conventions of other action trailers that we have looked at and are therefore most effective.

Our Chosen Title

This is our choosen Title. We have decided to go for a simple title as we want the name of the film to be the main focus.
